The A.R.T. Institute Presents: DYING FOR IT
Directed by Scott Zigler (A.R.T. Institute Acting Director and Atlantic Theater Company co-founder)
Dying for It is Moira Buffini’s adaptation of The Suicide, by Nikolai Erdman, a 1928 play banned under Stalin. The play follows a man whose contemplation of suicide attracts a series of hangers-on who want to profit from it. Sarah played his wife, Masha, who fights tooth and nail (and sometimes with a gun) to stop her husband's suicide.
Dying For It had its audiences rolling in the aisles of the Loeb Drama Center mainstage at The American Repertory Theater on March 17-19, 2016!
Who knew suicide and communism could be so funny?
