A collaboration between The Radcliffe Institute and The A.R.T.: A LANGUAGE TO HEAR MYSELF

March 2, 2016

On March 1st, 2015, Sarah Paton had the opportunity to perform at a theatrical celebration of feminist poetry, featuring poets like Marianne Moore, Eve Merriam, Honor Moore, Adrienne Rich, and Jean Valentine. The piece also includes new poems written for the event inspired by these historical poets.

This piece was directed by Sammi Cannold, Hasty Pudding Artistic Fellow at the American Repertory Theater, and performed at the The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America alongside the exhibit: “‘A Language to Hear Myself’: Feminist Poets Speak.” Sarah performed two poems: "Roses Only" and "Silence" by Marianne Moore.
